This Morning viewers were left cringing during Luke Evans’ performance of Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ on ITV’s This Morning.
The Hollywood actor joined presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to chat about his new career musical career path and perform his rendition of of the Simon and Garfunkel hit.
Despite Holly and Phillip’s praise, fans took to Twitter to share their awkwardness over the performance – with some pointing out a lacklustre reaction from Phil.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Loved @TheRealLukevans performance on @ThisMorning. A voice from the Gods. Shame #Scofe couldn’t be a bit more enthusiastic… bit rude! #ThisMorning.”
Another said Luke had been “half singing, half shouting”, as a third fan penned: “Luke Evans is very much regretting his agent signing him up to #ThisMorning.”
Some eagle-eyed viewers realised Luke had featured on Lorraine yesterday morning, to promote his album and sing the same song.
One viewer who spotted Luke’s promotional tactics joked: “Any shows Luke Evans hasn’t appeared on these last couple of weeks?”
“I reckon Luke Evans will be in my fridge when I open it, trying to sell me his album”, another hit out.
Others were more than happy with Luke’s performance, having only just discovered the well-known Beauty and the Beast actor had taken to singing.
“Only just caught Luke on #ThisMorning. I thought this guy was an actor, I was not expecting that voice. Amazing @TheRealLukevans!!”, one wrote.
A second couldn’t get over Luke’s voice and looks: “Luke Evans is so handsome, it’s almost painful. A truly beautiful man. And what a voice! #ThisMorning #itv”.
