Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien was congratulated by her ITV co-stars after her daughter bagged herself a role on BBC’s Waterloo Road.
Scarlett, 13, will be following in the footsteps of her Sarah Platt actress mum who starred in the drama series set in a comprehensive school between 2010 and 2011, and played the role of pupil Bex Fisher.
Tina shared the news on Instagram alongside a smiling picture of Scarlett and the rest of the cast in the filming studio.
Tina gushed: “Very excited to finally be able to announce that my gorgeous, lovely, talented Scarlett Thomas will be in the new series of Waterloo Road #proudmum.”
Her post sent her Corrie co-stars into a frenzy and they rushed to the comment section to send her daughter well wishes.
Helen Flanagan, who used to play Rosie Webster, posted a love emoji.
Rovers Return barmaid Catherine Tyldesley said: “That girl has always been the brightest of stars.”
Lucy Fallon, Tina’s on-screen daughter Bethany, also posted a heart emoji.
Scarlett’s dad is former Corrie star Ryan Thomas, 37, and her uncle, Adam Thomas, is set to play her dad in Waterloo Road.
Adam, who’ll be reprising his role as Donte Charles, also announced that Scarlett will play Izzy during an appearance on BBC’s Morning Live today (February 23).
Ryan also sent a heartwarming message to his daughter on Twitter.
He wrote: “The secret is finally out!!! As a father and big brother it doesn’t get much better in life to find out that my brother is going back to Waterloo Road where it all started for him in his career to then find out Scarlett is going to play his daughter in the show.”
Ryan and former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh have announced they’re expecting a little girl in the spring, meaning Scarlett will be a big sister again.
The couple already have a son, Roman, two.
