TOWIE star Frankie Essex has announced she is pregnant with twins with her partner of three years, Luke Love.
The reality star only came off the pill last year and was shocked when she found out she was expecting so soon after.
But the surprises didn’t end there as she was told she was pregnant with twins.
The 34-year-old said she was “just so shocked” when the lady scanning her made the discovery.
“The lady scanning me was focusing on one baby and was then like, ‘What else do we have here then?’ and I was so shocked and asked, ‘Are we having twins?’ I burst out crying, tears of happiness. It was just so beautiful. It was lovely,” she told new! magazine.
Frankie is expecting non-identical twins, and she described her pregnancy as “a blessing”, adding: “We are so over the moon.”
And her brother Joey Essex can’t wait to become an uncle either.
Frankie said: “He is so excited. His face was the best – I’ve got a video of him reacting.
“He just kept smiling all day. He checks up on me. He and Luke are really close, which is really nice.”
Frankie is due in the summer after already entering her second trimester – and she’s happy to be moving along in her pregnancy.
“The first trimester I felt so sick and dizzy and could only eat dry food,” she said.
“I was waking up in the night. Now, I’ve got so much more energy.”
And while she and Luke haven’t yet found out the sex of her babies, they plan to.
She said: “I would have wanted it to be a surprise, but I think I’ve already had the biggest surprise!”
Frankie came off the pill and had expected she would need to give her body time to get back to normal before she got pregnant, as Luke’s friend took two years to get pregnant when they did the same – but Frankie got pregnant “after the first period [she] had”.
“I was trying to keep it a secret, so I could tell him on his birthday,” she said, admitting she didn’t tell Luke for a week.
“But then I had such bad morning sickness that I couldn’t wait any longer.”
But the way she did tell her personal trainer boyfriend, 32, was adorable.
“I got him a little card where you had to wear 3D glasses to see it. It said, ‘You’re going to be a daddy,'” she said.
“He was so happy, he was speechless and gave me a big cuddle. I cried tears of joy, it was a really emotional moment.”
Frankie and Luke are doing up their Essex house to turn it into their dream family home, but she said he makes she she doesn’t do any hard work.
She said: “I love looking after people, so I hope I’m going to be a good mum!
“It’s so overwhelming, being pregnant with all the emotions you go through. But with having the house, I’ve had a lot to focus on.”
