Victoria Beckham branded an 'a***hole' by David in cheeky note attached to her lunch

Spice Girls singer and fashion designer Victoria Beckham has taken to Instagram to proudly show off her doting husband’s kind gesture.

David, 46, poked fun at his wife with a funny note in her lunch, intended to cheer her up.

Victoria, 47, posted the handwritten message on her Instagram story with the caption: “Even when I’m grumpy he looks after me! Thank you for my lunch David.”

The note that David left Victoria read: “Enjoy lunch a**hole…come home happier.”

He drew a smiley face and signed off with: “Lots of love, you know who.”

The couple have been married for 22 years and Victoria, née Adams, first met David at a football game in 1997.

He proposed to the Spice Girls singer just a year afterwards. Another year later the couple welcomed Brooklyn, their oldest son and they were wed four months later.

Victoria, nicknamed Posh Spice during her time in the girlband Spice Girls, earned a reputation for being moody during the Spice Girls’ stage performances, interviews and press releases.

The other members of the band, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chrisholm, were all known for their loud and bubbly personalities.

However, Victoria was more quiet and reserved which many people misinterpreted as sulky.

The Out Of Your Mind hitmaker addressed the assumptions to Vogue back in 2013 and claimed that she was just shy: “’I looked moody. But I wasn’t! I was shy, not very sure of myself.”

”I had to invent a character and I thought of that: staring at people and pouting.

My insecurities helped me create the character in a way. Nowadays, it’s like a barrier that comes back whenever I go out in public. That’s the way fame has affected me.”

She admitted that her persona was nothing like her usual self when she’s at home: ”It’s always me who goes to Waitrose to do the weekly shop, Harper balancing on one hip, Brooklyn hanging onto the trolley.”

“I go down the aisles telling the kids, ‘No, you can’t have that!’, just like any other mother. People look at me in awe like I’m from the circus, but it doesn’t bother me.”
