Victoria Beckham has said that meeting Queen Elizabeth II was a “proud moment” after paying a heartfelt tribute and posting a throwback snap with Her Majesty.
With her husband David having queued 13 hours to pay tribute to the late monarch, the former Spice Girls star has now penned a sweet message to pay her respects.
Taking to Instagram on SUnday (September 18), Victoria penned a moving message alongside a glamorous snap of the Queen.

“I’ve spent the last week reflecting on the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and how she was a powerful source of inspiration not just for me, but for so many around the world,” she began.
Posh went on: “The ultimate icon in every way and the epitome of elegance, she will live on in our hearts and minds forever.
“I offer my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family at this time, and we join them in mourning the loss of our beloved Sovereign.”
After her heartfelt Instagram post, Victoria took to her stories to post another set of images with more moving words – even reflecting on the time she met the late monarch.
In 1997 Victoria along the rest of the Spice Girls came face to face with Queen Elizabeth II when they met her at a formal event.
Looking incredible in the signature Posh Spice black dress, Victoria beamed as she shook hands with the Queen.
Uploading the throwback snap onto her stories, Victoria penned: ”One of my proudest Spice Girls moments was meeting Her Majesty at the Royal Command Performance in 1997. I’m so grateful for this memory.”
This comes after Victoria’s husband David queued with the general public for 13 hours in order to see the Queen lying-in-state at Westminster Hall.
David has said that his decision to wait in line was a tribute to his late grandfather who he believed “wouldn’t have approved of him jumping ahead” of members of the public.
Something that comes after celebrities continue to get criticised for “jumping the queue”.
