Wife Swap viral sensation Curtis Holland aka King Curtis is now a 19-year-old adult who looks worlds apart from the six-year-old boy who told his mum ‘”chicken nuggets is like my family” in 2009.
The Wife Swap legend Curtis Holland was only six when he was on the US version of the TV show and instantly became an internet sensation for his straight-talking attitude.
King Curtis appeared in Season 5 Episode 18 of Wife Swap USA and was found getting hot tempered with his fitness fanatic ‘mum’ who tried to encourage the kids to switch to a healthier diet.
In the episode, Curtis said: “I don’t wanna be skinny! I wanna be fat and happy” – with many viewers turning to social media to vouch how hilariously relatable 6 year old Curtis was.
It was the iconic lines “chicken nuggets is like my family” and “bacon is good for me” which made 6-year-old King Curtis an internet sensation as he became instantly became memorable and memeable.
One fan even remixed the soundbite from the episode into a song, sending shockwaves on Twitter.
13-year-laters and King Curtis is now a 19-year-old welder who looks completely different from his younger days.
In one picture, Curtis, who’s now an adult, poses with a deer and a rifle as he dons a thick beard.
In another unearthed snap, the American lad is sitting on a boat holding a fish he’s just caught.
Despite Curtis growing older and looking very different, one thing remains the same – in an interview in 2017 talking to New Statemen, he confirmed that he still loves bacon!
King Curtis said: “Every morning, my mum gets up, and we all cook bacon together,”
His love for bacon reportedly led to him being offered the chance of being a mascot for the local butcher.
The internet sensation’s fan base stretches far and wide – he continues to be shared weekly as a meme on social media.
Discussing his popular internet status, the teenager said: “We live in a small community, and a lot of people say that I’m the movie star.
“I mean, I don’t have a Twitter, but a lot of people say that I’m up there just about every week.”
He added: “If I can go up to somebody and make their day and make them smile, I feel like I’ve done a great thing.”
In 2016, Curtis starred in an episode of Pawn Stars about an American family-run pawn shop.
