1000lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton shows trolls what she ‘really looks like’ without filters

The 1000lb Sisters Star Tammy Slaton has hit back at trolls who slammed her for using filters as she reveals what she “really looks like”.

The reality star, 37, whose incredible weight loss journey has been documented on the hit TLC show, recently showed off her slimmed-down face in a series of selfies posted to Instagram. But Tammy received backlash over the pictures after her followers were quick to notice it appeared she’d used filters on all of them.

“Who is this???????? Not cool to pretend to be someone you’re NOT,” one person wrote. Another added: “Shawty got filters on filters on filters.”

A third agreed, commenting: “Filter overload.” One person even demanded she ditch the filters, writing: “Stop the filters. What do you actually look like??”

Tammy was quick to come back with a sassy response as she replied to the latter comment in a video uploaded shortly after her first post. She went filter-free in the clip and wore her hair tied back as she filmed her face, telling her followers: “This is what I really look like, okay?” She added: “Have a nice day babe.”

But just removing the filters wasn’t enough for some people, another person commented: “I wanna see without your glasses! They take away from your eyes, either way you’re killin it.” Tammy gave them what they wanted in a second video posted to her account. “Here you go love. Me, no filters, me,” she said before removing her glasses and adding: “Now without my glasses.”

Tammy was met with a flood of comments from her supportive fans after posting the videos. “So proud of you!! Keep doing you and don’t waste time on the haters,” one fan said.

A second wrote: “You don’t have to respond to these rude people. I always assume they are teenagers that don’t know better.” A third wrote: “You don’t owe anyone an explanation, you just do you.”

Others complimented how good she looked without the filters. “Still beautiful”, one fan said. A second wrote: “You look beautiful Queen!!! So proud of how far you’ve come!!” Another added: “You look great Tammy!!”

Tammy tipped the scales at 717lbs (51.2stone) before starting her weight loss journey alongside her sister, Amy, who once weighed more than 400lbs. But the sisters now look unrecognisable after each shedding a huge amount of weight.

Amy underwent a gastric bypass surgery in 2019 and lost around 130lbs. After the weight loss, she went on to have two children and it’s now estimated she weighs around 225lbs. Meanwhile, Tammy’s journey proved more challenging than her sisters. She had more weight to lose before she could have her gastric bypass surgery but struggled to shed the pounds and a medical emergency saw her rushed to hospital and struggling to breathe.

The terrifying incident saw her placed into a medically induced coma but after recovering from the health scare Tammy was finally able to turn her life around and lose enough weight to qualify for gastric bypass surgery. She’s now reportedly lost more than 300lbs and has shown off her incredible weight loss in regular posts on her Instagram and TikTok.
