A Place in the Sun presenter Jean Johansson was left stunned when a guest told her to “hold it” when she asked if she wanted to put in an offer on her ideal property.
The 42-year-old property expert was helping teacher, Danuta find her dream holiday home in Valencia, Spain in a repeated episode on Channel 4 tonight.
As usual, the host showed her guest and her close friend Rachel, who lives in the area around five different property options.

The teacher was looking for a two-bedroom property with a terrace, on a budget of £120,000 and Jean was thrilled when her guest revealed there were two possible contenders in the running at the end of the show.

However, it went downhill once they sat down to discuss putting an offer in on one of them Jean was left stunned when the guest told her to “hold it”.
When asked about her favourite property, Danuta said: “If I have to choose [I pick the third apartment].”
To which, Jean replied: “You said, ‘If I have to choose,’ you do have to choose!”
Daunt explained she fell in love with the third property’s terrace and the large space that came with the apartment.
The teacher admitted she could see herself living there as she said: “It felt more of a home and it’s going to be my home.”

Well, would you like me to put an offer forward to the agent?” Jean asked.
“Hold it right there not quite,” she replied. “What I’ve learnt this week is Valencia is so vast it’s huge.”
“I didn’t realise it was so big and I think I need more time to explore the area to see, not alternatives, I want those properties here but I’m not quite ready to commit until I’ve seen more as it’s such a big decision.”
The guest explained she felt she needed to see more of the city before she could buy a property.
