Amanda Holden got plenty of people talking after she stripped off on her new TV show – and now the artist who painted her has revealed just what it was like.
The TV favourite, 52, bared all in one of the episodes of her SKY History show SEX: A Bonkers History. The raunchy series sees Amanda and co-host Dan Jones explore intimate shenanigans through different time periods.
And it’s fair to say things got rather racy when she stripped off to be painted by Francesca Currie. The artist did that good of a job that Amanda even gifted the racy picture as a present to husband Chris Hughes.

In a new interview with South West News Service, Francesca, who appeared on Sky’s Portrait Artist of the Year, revealed all about her experience painting Amanda in the nude. According to the artist, Amanda remained “comfortable and calm” during the process and was “a natural”.
During the shoot, Francesca sketched and took photos after Amanda asked the TV crew to leave. The artist, from Worcester, then spent six weeks working on the portrait.
“Amanda was really fun and delightful to work with. She was comfortable and relaxed,” Francesca said. She added: “She’s just a great, natural model actually, she looked fantastic. The way the way the light hit, I couldn’t have done it better.”
Amanda previously spoke about stripping topless for the painting. She said: “My husband Chris now has the painting, but no one else will ever see it, including the television audience. But it felt liberating to pose naked.”
She went on: “Certain areas were covered up, but I suppose it is like doing their equivalent of Playboy or something like that, then keeping it private for the person you love most. It was a female artist, and we had a closed set, so it just felt absolutely fine.” Amanda added: “And it was only my boobs that were out. I felt looked after and completely comfortable.”

However, fans hoping to get a peek at the painting will be disappointed. She explained: “I didn’t want to show the finished painting to the television audience only because of the reaction it would get.
“It would just go everywhere, and it just wouldn’t be seen for the beautiful piece of art – it would simply be about my boobs being on show. So it was just for Chris. He loved it.”
