Amy Anzel slams The Apprentice as 'snooze fest' after calling for Lord Sugar to be axed

The Apprentice’s Amy Anzel has slammed the show for being “boring” after calling for Lord Alan Sugar to be replaced by one of his aides.

Amy rose to fame in January 2022 when she appeared on the popular programme headed up by Lord Sugar, and hit the headlines when she was allegedly “banned” from the final.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star following the second episode of the new series – which saw one candidate quit and another get fired – Amy has shared her thoughts on week two of the BBC One business competition.

The Hollywood Beauty Browzer business owner has critiqued week two’s task and challenged producers to make the show more “interesting and exciting”.

“I think most people were falling asleep while watching this [on Thursday night], so boring,” the businesswoman admitted exclusively to Daily Star.

But there was one thing she thought was “super exciting” amid the “boring” snooze fest.

“In any case there was something super, super exciting, and that was the shock leaving of Shannon [Martin], the girl that owns the bridal salon.

“I can’t believe it, because she was, in my opinion, going to get to the finals – if not win,” she said.

Amy then went on to speak in disbelief as to how Shannon chose to leave after “between 70 and 100 hours of auditions, interviews and travelling to London.”

Shannon decided to leave the programme after missing home and wondering what was going on with her business.

Earlier this week Amy told us that The Apprentice “would be far better if he [Claude Littner] took over from Lord Sugar.”

She criticised Lord Sugar further when she revealed a little-known behind-the-scenes secret.

“Lord Sugar is exactly the same, his stupid cliché jokes that are written for him. They’re on a piece of paper, in front of him, and he literally crosses them off, one by one as he says them,” she told us.

The Apprentice continues on BBC One and iPlayer next Thursday.
