EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley looked incredible showing off her trimmed physique while posing alongside her former co-star Shona McGarty.
Lorraine, 47, who is best known for playing the role of Karen Taylor in the BBC soap, went to support Whitney Dean actress Shona in her theatre production of Beauty and The Beast. Shona is currently playing leading character Belle at the Orchard Theatre alongside former Ben Mitchell actor, Harry Reid.
In a sweet Instagram snap posted on her story, Lorraine looked slimmer than ever standing alongside her cast mates. Captioning her post which was also shared on Shona’s Instagram page, Lorraine sang her praises.

She wrote: “Shona is absolutely phenomenal,” followed by five-star emojis. The star then added: “The whole cast and production was outstanding.”
Lorraine hasn’t kept her weight loss journey a secret as she recently revealed her incredible transformation on social media. Sharing snaps of her slimmed down appearance on Instagram, she said: “Thank you @louiseappelpt I’m feeling fantastic!!! You’re the best PT #personaltrainer #fitat40something #toning #weighttrainingforwomen #igotthis.”
Speaking openly on ITV’s Lorraine, the actress revealed the steps she took in order to lose weight. She said: “I’ve lost 12lbs in six weeks. My mate Louisa is my fitness guru, I’ve got her to thank for it.
“She talks about nutrition. I’ve eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken. No carbs, no crisps and chocolate. I’m enjoying it and I feel better for it.”
Lorraine has played matriarch Karen Taylor for seven years in the BBC soap but has been written out of the drama as part of a shock cast shake-up. Speaking candidly to The Sun, the soap star revealed she is gutted to be leaving the show and her EastEnders family but was excited to see what opportunities would come up next.
She also appeared to hint that she would to take on a role in rival soap Coronation Street. She said: “I think it would have to be Corrie and I would have to be the new landlady.

“I’d be Gemma’s [Winter] auntie, Bernie’s sister. I’d be in their family and I’d take over The Rovers,” she added.
The news comes after Shona will also be departing from Albert Square next year. The shocking news of her departure broke back in July when Shona revealed that it was tim to take on a new challenge.
She said at the time: “I have decided to spread my wings and will be leaving EastEnders. I have loved my years in the show.”
