BBC schedule shake-up revealed as The Graham Norton Show replaced on Friday nights

The Graham Norton Show has been replaced as in a huge schedule shake-up according to reports.

The long-running talk show usually airs at a late night time of 10.40pm on BBC One every Friday evening.

But the publicly funded corporation has made a drastic change to the usual TV schedule during the summer months of 2023.

On Friday evenings, viewers are usually treated to a host of laughs from the 60-year-old star as he interviews a range of celebrity guests from the biggest movie stars to huge singing sensations.

In recent months, we have seen the likes of Pedro Pascal, Lizzo, Hugh Jackman, Dame Judi Dench, Michael Douglas and Dame Helen Mirren grace the iconic primetime sofa.

Bug in a huge shake-up, from May 12 it will be replaced with The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show.

The popular show will make a return later in the year as it goes in its usual break over the summer months.

The most recent series came to an end in late February which was briefly followed by several compilation episodes, where the late-night slot has since been filled with film screenings.

The podcast duo first hosted their show in June of last year, where they welcomed a host of big-name couples.

The first season of their show included huge guests such as Tom and Giovanna Fletcher and Martine McCutcheon and her husband Jack McManus as well as Martin and Shirley Kemp.

The line-up for the new series has not yet been revealed, just as Graham looks set to be booked up with duties to his show on Virgin radio as well as commentary for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Other hosts for the international singing competition include Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham, who will co-host the two semi-finals alongside Britain’s Got Talent star Alesha Dixon on May 9 and 11.
