The One Show has been branded “car crash TV” after a live interview with Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon turned awkward.
Simon, 64, chatted to hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating about the band’s upcoming tour.
However, viewers at home were left distracted as conversation between the trio turned to football.

Ronan said: “You’ve given an Aston Villa star your seal of approval.
A confused Simon said: “Have I? Which one?” before adding: “That’s more John Taylor”, referring to his band mate.
“The Villa fan in the band is Roger Taylor. He’s had a rollercoaster ride, as many villa fans.”
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Eggy car crash tv on #TheOneShow yet again!”
Another added: “Bit awkward on #TheOneShow”
A third person posted: “#TheOneShow Looks like Simon le bon is not a friend of Ronan Keating”
While a fourth social media user said: “And thats why Simon doesn’t go on chat shows #TheOneShow.”
#TheOneShow haha #awkward when Simon Le Bon has to talk about someone else lol,” someone else said.
Comedian Rosie Jones was also a guest on the green sofa with Simon.
It comes after Alex made a brutal dig towards her co-star Jermaine Jenas live on air earlier this week.
The Welsh host made the cheeky dig at the former pro footballer on January 30.
Jermaine introduced the show by saying: “Tonight, football fans around the country nervously wait to find out who their team will face in the fifth round of the FA cup.
“But you do not have to wait for much longer because Mark Chapman is here to host the draw.”
Alex then pointed to the FA Cup trophy and said: “Apparently if I go near it, the alarm will go off.
“Is this the closest you’ve ever got to it?” she then quipped.
Jermaine then shook his head in dismay and said “Move on, move on”.
This comes over a week after Alex made another savage joke at Jermaine.
The One Show airs weeknights on BBC One at 7pm
