The fiancée of comedian Bobby Davro has died after losing her battle with cancer.
Vicky Wright, 63, discovered she had pancreatic cancer last year – the same disease that killed her father, Wolverhampton Wanderers and England footballer Billy Wright, in September 1994.
Vicky’s daughter, Kelly Wright-Warhurst, took to her mum’s Twitter page and announced the tragic news, alongside a sweet snap of the duo smiling.

She wrote: “Hello everyone. Some incredibly devastating news to share as my wonderful mum Vicky has sadly passed away this morning.
“I wanted to use this platform to let you all know, as I know how much she valued all your love and support in so many ways.”
The post was immediately flooded with messages from friends and fans who sent their condolences.
Loose Women star Denise Welch shared: “So very sorry,” followed by three heart emojis.
“Oh no. Shattering news. I had known Vicky for more than 40 years and loved her company. Her dad Billy gave me my first job in television. I feel terribly sad tonight. Thoughts with all the family,” penned BBC Midland’s Nick Owen.
Singer Beverley Knight commented: “My god no. I am so, so sorry. Vicky was a gem. Sending love and healing.”
While former Arsenal footballer Ray Parlous said: “So sorry for your loss. Sending love to you and your family.”
Vicky’s death comes just days after Bobby, 64, exclusively told Daily Star they were dealing with the “devastating” diagnosis by trying to keep on laughing.
The actor said: “My best advice for someone in a similar position is that laughter is the best medicine.”
He added: “I always remember this quote, ‘Don’t let the world change your smile – get your smile to change the world’.”
“To see someone as beautiful as her with this illness is horrific. It’s so sad,” the star explained.
He went on: “It’s extremely, extremely, extremely painful.” Thank goodness I’ve got my work, because it keeps my mind off this for a bit of time.”
The pair got engaged in November 2022 after 12 years together and Vicky said at the time: “I’m on cloud nine.”
