Carol Vorderman and Helen Flanagan take on terrifying trials in I'm A Celeb teaser

Carol Vorderman and Helen Flanagan are set to take on some terrifying trials in I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, as seen in an exciting new trailer released by ITV.

The brand new version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! kicks off on ITV1 and ITVX in less than two weeks, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly back at the helm.

But rather than a bunch of nervous celebrities taking part, the cast for this series are all past contestants – and it seems they’ve got something to prove.

In a brand new teaser trailer, the celebrities, including Countdown whizz Carol, soap beauty Helen and Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell head to the South African camp.

And while the setting is new, the make-up of the show is much the same with the celebrity campmates having to take part in daunting trials.

This time, though, they will be competing against each other for the right to remain in camp, as explained by hosts Ant and Dec.

Former Coronation Street star Helen, who famously got voted to do Bushtucker Trials non-stop in her original series, is set on doing well this time.

The mum-of-three can be heard saying: “I’m so determined to do better this time.”

The 32-year-old is seen taking part in one trial which sees her suspended high up in the air on some gigantic red balls.

Meanwhile, it looks like Carol, 62, is keen to get stuck in, as she is seen cracking on with two trials.

In one, she stands at the end of a ledge over a ravine and screams: “Hello, Africa. I love you!”

Another shot sees her delving deep into the unknown as she scrambles for a star with her arm in a hole.

Paul, 64, whose reaction to trials in his original series in 2004 still get a laugh from the audience, wants to do better too.

He says: “It’s gonna be tougher, perhaps I’ve got more to prove this time around.”

But it’s not all going to be an easy ride, as, with Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder snoring in camp, Helen jokes: “Another day in paradise.”

The full cast was announced earlier this year, with Helen, Carol, Shaun and Paul joined by: Amir Khan, Fatima Whitbread, Janice Dickinson, Jordan Banjo and Phil Tufnell.

And it’s rumoured that Andy Whyment, Dean Gaffney, Georgia Toffolo, Gillian McKeith, Joe Swash and Myleene Klass also return during the all-star series.
