Christine Lampard is tipped to replace Holly Willoughby as host of ITV breakfast programme This Morning, after Holly’s sensational departure earlier this month.
44-year-old Christine is known for her presenter work on ITV shows Lorraine, Daybreak, and Loose Women, making her a well-favoured addition to the This Morning team. The Irish star has also previously co-hosted BBC’s The One Show, making her more than qualified for the empty ITV slot.
Holly exited the daytime chat show after an Essex made a serious threat to kidnap the mum-of-three. The presenter revealed she would be leaving the show after 14 years “for me and my family”.

Now in the search for her replacement, a source has revealed it might be Christine who will take the coveted spot. A source told The Sun: “Christine is popular with viewers and was a huge success when she covered Holly’s maternity leave.
The source added that Christine is “very well liked” by executives and is a “pro” when it comes to interviewing. They added that while Christine is happy with her current set-up, she’s not closed off to opportunities.
The mum-of-two previously said: “I’m relatively lucky that I’m not working every single day I’ve got Loose Women and Lorraine, and everything else fits around that. I feel for single parents or anyone who works 12 hours a day and juggles childcare, because it’s really difficult.”
Christine made headlines earlier this month after a shocking confession whilst live on air during Loose Women. The Northern Irish presenter is married to star footballer Frank Lampard, and found her husband the topic of discussion with co-star Coleen Nolan.
58-year-old Coleen quipped she’d “love to share a bed” with 45-year-old Frank, in response to a discussion on partners sharing beds with their friends. Christine was found in stitches, laughing at her co-host’s comment.
No confirmation from ITV has been made over Holly Willoughby’s replacement.
