Coronation Street viewers are convinced killer Stephen Reid’s time is running out.
A dead body was found in Weatherfield during the latest dramatic episode of the ITV soap on Thursday (September 19).
Police and forensic teams later turned up at the building where Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) are working.

Ed noticed the digger driver looking troubled after the discovery and he hurried over.Ronnie later arrived at the building site to see Ed talking to a uniformed officer Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). He peered into the hole where the digger unearthed a dead body.
Viewers watching at home rushed to their keyboards to discuss the discovery and predicted the end of Stephen’s reign of terror. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “Stephens DNA all over that body #corrie” Another added: “There would be DNA all over Leo’s body so Stephen’s time is running out #Corrie
A third person said: “Watch out Stephen Leo’s body has been found.” While a fourth agreed: “They’ve found the body the end of Stephen is coming #corrie.”
Corrie spoilers have revealed Stephen returns to work full of the joys in upcoming scene after his romantic holiday with Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews). However, his mood soon changes when he hears a body has been found on Ed and Ronnie’s building site.
Masking his inner turmoil, Stephen makes out he’s got a migraine. Back at the pub, Stephen presses Ed for more detail and when Ed confirms that it was definitely a man’s body, Stephen’s heart sinks.

A uniformed Craig calls at the pub and breaks the news to Jenny that the body is that of her missing ex-boyfriend Leo Tompkins. As Jenny reels in shock, is the game up for Stephen? Fans will know that Stephen is responsible for the deaths of Leo, his dad Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin) and Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo). He has so far been getting with murder but is the latest discovery the beginning of the end?
