Fans of Coronation Street are convinced they know what will lead to Elaine Jones’ “downfall” as they suspect Stephen Reid will use her medication to kill her.
During Monday night’s episode (May 1) Elaine was clearly going through an emotional rollercoaster after her son Tim tried his best to derail her marriage plans.
With Stephen increasing the pressure to elope abroad, Elaine was left faint and in desperate need of her pills which help control her high blood pressure.

But although Stephen appeared concerned over Elaine’s health, fans seem to think that he may use this as a way to get rid of her.
Taking to Twitter in their droves, fans shared their concerns.
One social media user wrote: “So her pills will be her downfall, Stephen has found a way…”
Another said: “So Stephen will swap Elaine’s pills for tic tacs then watch her die of a heart attack.”
A third penned: “Elaine is going to go quickly when her pills miraculously disappear from her handbag.”
“We know how Stephen’s gonna kill her now, pills pills pills,” a fourth added.
Despite concerns from her son Tim, who is convinced that Stephen is using Elaine for her money, Elaine is still non the wiser to her husband-to-be’s antics.
But fans of the show are also warning Tim to be careful too as some think Tim might be Stephen’s next victim.
Sharing their thoughts again, fans demanded TV producers that Tim should not be killed off.
One social media user wrote on Twitter: “If they kill off Tim I’m going down to Weatherfield and hitting Stephen over the head with his trusty stapler.”
Another said: “Tim’s on Stevens list titled people to kill next.”
While a third also wrote: “Why is it that after all his weird rage outburst, erratic and sketchy behaviour, being shouted at by his first name by local dealers and the sudden ownership of the factory, is Tim the only one that can see Stephen is sketchy? For goodness sake, boring now.”
