Eamonn Holmes has taken a playful swipe at his wife, Ruth Langsford, during a recent episode of GB News that had everyone in stitches.
In the latest episode of show, Eamonn co-host Ellie Costello found themselves discussing the peculiar sight of a camel casually strolling through the streets of London. Ellie jokingly mused about inviting the camel into her flat, to which Eamonn couldn’t resist chiming in, quipping: “Oh, it’ll be very smelly.”
But the real gem came when Eamonn decided to compare the camel’s teeth to his lovely wife’s, saying: “Their teeth – ergh, they have very pronounced teeth. My wife, Ruth Langsford, has teeth like a camel.” This unexpected comment left his co-hosts in fits of laughter.

Ellie, clearly taken aback, managed to gasp: “You can’t say that!” However, Eamonn was undeterred, sticking to his guns and declaring, “It’s true, it’s true, it’s a fact! She’s like something straight out of 338 Kempton Park [Racecourse], teeth-wise.” Dawn Neesom swiftly came to Ruth’s defense with a snappy comeback, remarking: “I’m going to say no wonder she’s got the hump because she’s married to you.”
This playful exchange followed the discussion about the camel’s unusual stroll through the city. Viewers were treated to a video clip of the camel strutting its stuff on the urban streets, with the person recording audibly bewildered. Dawn Neesom chimed in, offering a dose of reality with: “This is East London, who has a camel in East London?!” In a recent interview with Hello! Magazine, Eamonn shared more insights into his relationships with both Ruth and his regular co-host, Isabel Webster.
In a surprising twist, it turns out Ruth and Isabel share more than just screen time—they’ve become quite the dynamic duo, with Ruth sending Isabel cheeky messages while they’re on air. Isabel couldn’t help but spill the beans, revealing: “Ruth and I have similar personalities, and we gang up on him – for his own good! She sends me messages during our live broadcasts, saying things like, ‘Tell him his tie’s not straight.'”
But it seems Eamonn isn’t immune to playful jabs either, as Isabel slyly added: “When he spilled the beans about Ruth’s snoring habits, she fired back with, ‘Don’t get me started on his faults!'” The pair has been working together for nearly two years following Eamonn’s departure from This Morning, where he and Ruth held court for a whopping 15 years before passing the torch to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
