EastEnders Danniella Westbrook to expose real reason why she wasn't allowed back on soap

Danniella Westbrook will be airing from “home truths” regarding her EastEnders stint in her new book.

Her new autobiography will be on shelves later this year and will reveal some big soap secrets.

The 49-year-old actress exclusively told us: “I’m trying to get my book out for Christmas, which should come out after I finish the West End.

“It will include all of my Dancing On Ice stuff, my last time at EastEnders, basically everything from the last 13 years so.

“My last stint on EastEnders, why I never got asked back and the reason why, and the politics behind it all.

“There are some real home truths in there.”

She added: “It will have more about the industry and what happened to me growing up as a kid and how much better it is today with how much safe guarding there is now.”

In a previous chat, Danniella said the tell-all book which will include the early stages of her life and the whole 10 years she was married to her first husband, Ben Morgan.

She explained: “My book is coming out before the end of the year, oh god, it’s the first part of my life, the whole 10 years I was married.

“And I’m going to go full-on with a lot of the stuff I went through as a child, with the child abuse and go forward and give a lot of my EastEnders stuff away.”

The actress continued: “My behind the scenes EastEnders experience… Nothing that is going to incriminate anybody, just fun good times stuff, that will make people laugh.

“I met some amazing people such as Freddie Mercury and George Michael, and they will be in there for all the right reasons.

“There will be great stories and I’m hoping to do it myself as an audiobook which should be nice as well as that’s what the fans have asked for and it should be out by Christmas.”

Danniella has played Sam Mitchell on the BBC soap on and off over the past couple of decades.

However, the role is now currently taken over by Kim Medcalf, who returned last year.

Danniella started playing Sam in 1990 and her last stint ended in 2016 – with Kim filling in the gaps in between.
