Changing Room star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen even revealed that Kat Slater’s “steamy sex life” helped put his kids through school.

He exclusively told us that he had an EastEnders set decorator to thank for this after they used one of his bed sheets for the soap star’s room.

Laurence said: “I have to say I had a range of bed linen, it was my first range of bed linen design, and it went through the roof because the set decorator bought a set for Kat Slater.

“It was back in the day when she was a steamy sex siren and she was rolling all over my duvet and the sales paid for my children’s education, it was incredible.

“The funny thing is it said ‘pure’ on one side with white roses, and the other side said ‘pure sex’ with red roses. It was very successful.”

When asked if he would ever go on the BBC show himself, he answered: “I don’t think they could afford me sadly, plus I’m quite bad at accents and also I’m absolutely terrible at scripts. So, genuinely speaking there are a lot of reasons why I wouldn’t flourish at EastEnders but if they want me to give it a go then I can try, maybe for a Christmas special.”
