Ex-Corrie star Bruno Langley’s life after axe – career U-turn and dating ‘married student’

Bruno Langley’s long-standing tenure on Corrie came to an abrupt end after he was convicted of violent sex crimes.

The actor had played Todd Grimshaw on the cobbles for 16 years, but he was axed after pleading guilty to assaulting two women at a Manchester music venue when drunk in 2017.

The actor then embarked on a path of transformation, begging the public and his victims for forgiveness and swearing to kick the booze.

Bruno Langley was replaced by Gareth Pierce as Todd after he was convicted of sexually assaulting two women in Manchester.

The actor grabbed one woman “by the crotch” and touched another on her “boobs and bum”, and was sentenced to a 12-month community order for the crimes.

The order included a 7am to 7pm curfew for 12 weeks, as well as 40 days of rehabilitation activity. Bruno also had to pay each victim £250 and sign the sex offender register for the next five years.

Bruno has attempted to launch a pop career after leaving the cobbles, but reportedly earned just 40p from his tracks on Spotify.

In July 2021, Metro claimed he had just 80 monthly plays from his tracks, meaning he earned 40p at best from the streaming platform’s best rate of 0.5p.

A source told The Mirror: “Bruno had high hopes for his music but on these numbers he’s not exactly the next Ed Sheeran.”

He shared on his Instagram account, “Thank you for all your lovely messages regarding my music. I am working on some new music I hope to share with you very soon.”

Bruno also promoted his sister Rosie Langley’s cover of Bob Dylan’s song “It Ain’t Me Babe.”

Despite his past, he seems to be supporting his sister and pursuing his musical aspirations.

He has since turned to photography and also creates children’s audiobooks since he was sacked from Coronation Street.

Bruno’s Twitter account shows he is working as a photographer, and he wrote about his new career path in a rare post in 2019.

“I just wanted to reach out and say that yes I am a photographer now, I’m really happy being creative in this way, and I make people really happy with what I do,” he told fans.

Langley expressed contentment in his new creative pursuit and the happiness it brings to people.

He acknowledged the challenges he has faced and the support he’s received from various quarters.

The former actor continued: “I have been taking some time out these last two years or so to catch my breath, reassess what is important to me, and to make myself a better person. I understand some people will want to say negative things and that is fine, I can take it.”

Bruno has also created a free audiobook of bedtime stories, which he plugged on social media back in April.

Disgraced Bruno Langley was said to have moved in with a married university student named Lucy France back in 2019.

The actor was reportedly involved in a “love tryst” with Lucy four years after their initial meeting.

The reports about Bruno and Lucy’s living arrangement came out almost a year after her husband Jonathan, aged 47 at the time, was imprisoned for embezzling over £6 million from his scrap metal business.

A source claimed that Bruno had become entangled in a romantic situation with Lucy, a striking blonde, and her husband who has a questionable reputation.

This relationship has not been kept discreet, with Lucy openly sharing pictures of them together on social media.
