Geordie Shore icon Tahlia Chung was declared missing by accident after she was recently rushed to hospital over fears for her mental health and wellbeing.
The 26-year-old, who appeared on MTV show in 2019, headed over to Instagram on Tuesday (December 19) to share what actually took place. Providing her followers with further insight into the matter, Tahlia explained that she called 111 after experiencing feelings of “hopelessness and worthlessness”.
The medical professionals called an ambulance for the TV star. She then spoke to mental health experts for more than three hours before they retuned her to the accident and emergency department.

Tahlia then revealed that while in A&E the medics called her name in the department at around 10am but she had either fallen asleep or had gone to the toilet at the time. Due to her not responding, the hospital staff called her parents to say she had left and wrongly declared her as a “missing” person.
Explaining her side of the story in a lengthy statement online Tahlia wrote: “I have just recently got given my phone, I was without it from midnight last night so had no form of internet or contact. I had called 111 and took myself into hospital at midnight, the ambulance came to get me.
“I saw the mental health department for three and a half hours then they put me back into A&E at about 4am. They took me off the system and called my family saying I had gone missing, calling the police.
The star then went on to share how she’s been feeling. She said: “I’m overwhelming sad every day, feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness… I had no idea I was classed as missing.”
Tahlia then shared that after 14 hours of waiting she spoke to hospital staff who “didn’t believe” she was who she said she was. But after her agonising ordeal, her family later arrived and took her home.
She continued in her message by writing: “I hit rock bottom. I am sorry I put everyone through mental and emotional stresses.
“I never intended that, I know people would have thought so many different things, bad and extreme things, and felt helpless without knowledge or being able to do anything…But everyone has done more than they can imagine by looking out for me, being there for me, showing me I have more help than I thought and more love than I thought.
She finished off her statement by saying: “I thank everyone and I have seen all messages and contact and will speak soon.” Tahlia rose to fame on the reality show during series 19 and 20 which were both filmed in 2019.
