House of the DragonSeason Two is officially on its way and fans have been left very excited as a new cast has been revealed.
The explosive trailer takes us back to Westeros, where the Targaryens are about to go to war with one another. Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) are at the Red Keep while Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and her uncle Daemon (Matt Smith).
In the trailer, Alicent said: “The war will be fought, many will die, and the victor will eventually ascend the throne.” Rhaenys Targaryen then issued a warning to her niece, Rhaenyra.

She said: “There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin and no war so bloody as a war between dragons.” Last month HBO CEO Casey Bloys confirmed that season 2 of the fantasy drama would debut in “early summer” 2024.
The main cast will be returning alongside several new faces. The actors in the show include Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
The new trailer seems to follow the end of the first and will focus on the war of Queen Alicent and her children against Rhaenyra and Daemon. Alicent’s son Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) accidentally killed Rhaenyra’s son, Lucerys Velaryon (Elliot Grihault) when he lost control of his massive, ancient dragon Vhagar.

Later, Rhaenyra is crowned queen and marries her uncle, Daemon. Rhaenyra and Daemon become embroiled in a power struggle against Rhaenyra’s half-brother King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), leading Westeros to the brink of civil war.
