After a six-year absence, Jackson Hodge has making a return to Coronation Street. But many fans are wondering what happened to the actor who originally starred in the role.
Long-time viewers of the show may remember Jackson as the father of Miley, Faye Windass’ daughter, who was born back in 2015.
Joseph Evans has taken over the role of Jackson, previously played by Rhys Cadman during his stint on the show in 2015 and his brief return in 2017.

Fans saw Rhys’ play out the dramatic custody storyline, with his parents taking care of Miley and moving to Canada.
Jackson and Miley briefly returned to Weatherfield in 2017, after Faye spotted her daughter at Weatherfield General, before they departed once more.
However, Faye received a message from Jackson recently, and she chose to ignore it, leading to Jackson turning up at Tim and Sally Metcalfe’s doorstep eager to see Faye and Miley.
But as we welcome new actor Joseph to the cobbles, it appears Rhys is living a loved-up life of his own off-screen with his boyfriend, Murray.
Rhys often takes to social media to share snaps of his romance with his 16.5k followers.
One post shared the exciting news that the two are taking their relationship to the next level and moving in together.
“I can’t believe that we’re officially moving in together this year, as well as finishing university.
I can’t even describe how excited I am!,” he gushed, followed by a love heart emoji.
Another snap which showed the pair smiling at the camera as they embraced, read: “You’re my best frienddddd.”
Fans rushed to the comments to gush over the handsome couple.
“Very beautiful picture,” said one fan.
Another added: “Might be double trouble but I’d say absolute perfection personified – Unbelievable, beautiful, gorgeous and of course fabulous xx”
A third gushed: “You both look absolutely gorgeous.”
The Oldham-born star has also appeared in Appropriate Adult, Shameless, Doctors and Love, Lies and Records as well as the films Northern Lights and Murdered for Being Different and in television adverts for fast food chain McDonald’s and Currys PC World.
