ITV bosses have allegedly been left fearing Holly Willoughby could quit ITV’s This Morning – and are rushing to put a new deal on the table to keep her on the show.
Holly has been hosting the ITV daytime show since 2009 with co-host Phillip Schofield, and the pair have become one of the most beloved TV duos in Britain.
But it’s understood that Holly’s contract is expiring in December with no renewal negotiations having taken place.

According to The Mirror, TV bosses are worried Holly could walk away from This Morning following last year’s Queuegate scandal which left her “frustrated” and “devastated”.
Last September, Holly and Phil faced a lashing from the public who accused them of skipping the queue for the late Queen’s lying-in-state at Westminster Abbey.
Holly addressed the outrage on This Morning when she explained they hadn’t jumped any queues and had obtained press accreditation.
But a source claimed that she’s “frustrated” at the way bosses handled the backlash and upset that she had to make a TV apology on her own on behalf of the pair.
The source said: “The Queuegate backlash was absolutely devastating for Holly, but what made matters worse was the feeling it was mishandled.
“ITV ’s decision to remain silent before finally issuing a statement was frustrating, as it felt like they were shutting the door after the horse had bolted.”
The source added: “Bosses know last year was incredibly hard for her and as such, they are not approaching her contract negotiations with the same confidence as they have previously.”
Holly also presents ITV’s hit skating show Dancing on Ice with best pal Phil – and she never fails to wow fans with her dazzling ice rink outfits.
Last week, she stunned fans in a gorgeous light pink ball gown with a floral embroidered detail trailing down to the floor.
It’s no surprise, then, that fans compared Holly to a real-life princess just before she stepped out to host the show.
A source told the Mirror that Holly had “no plans” to leave This Morning.
An ITV spokesperson said: “We don’t comment on speculation around artists’ contracts.”
Daily Star has contacted representatives of ITV for comment.
