I’m A Celebrity has reportedly signed up mega influencer Nella Rose – who is said to be this year’s youngest contestant.
The iconic ITV show is making its return to telly screens next week. And it’s fair to say rumours are rife as to what celebs could be heading into the famous Australian jungle.
But ahead of its premiere next Sunday (November 19), it’s been reported that bosses have signed up YouTuber Nella Rose. The social media star, 24, is said to be this year’s youngest contestant.

Nella has over a million followers on TikTok and 892,000 on Instagram, as well as almost 8,000 subscribers on YouTube. This makes it a total of 2.8 million viewers that she racks up via her social media channels.
A TV insider told The Sun: “If ITV can draw a fraction of her followers to the show – who are the particularly valuable young demographic – they will be thrilled. That’s why signing up someone like Nella is a very shrewd move on the part of the I’m A Celebrity producers. She very much a ‘millennial star’ who’s gained a profile through a very different means to all the other campmates who’ve been named so far.”
It comes after rumoured I’m A Celeb campmate Alan Halsall has pulled out of the show days before the launch. The soap star, who is best known for playing the role of Tyrone Dobbs, recently underwent a knee operation which has left him unable to participate until he recovers.
Alan had reconstructive surgery on his ACL ligament last week and according to the actor, the operation went “really well”. The fan favourite is believed to have injured his knee during exercise and will have to lay off sport for up to a year. This also means he will need to take time away from the famous ITV cobbles to recover.
An ITV source told The Mirror : “It’s a big blow, but there’s no way he can go to Australia – his surgeon would have a fit. Alan needs to recover fully and then maybe he can take part next year.”
The insider added that Alan’s no-show will be a huge disappointment to those involved in I’m A Celeb. They added: “It’s a massive shame because everyone was really looking forward to having him on the show, but these things happen.”
Alan had his damaged anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) removed and replaced with a tendon from another area of the leg. Last week, the actor headed over to Instagram after his op.
