Neighbours star Ryan Moloney has revealed the two characters he wants bosses to bring back to the Australian soap.
Ryan, 43, plays Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi in the serial drama, which recently returned to screens after it was axed in 2022 after almost four decades. He has played Toadie since 1995 and fans were delighted when it was revealed that Ryan would be reprising the role for the Neighbours reboot.
The show returned with a huge twist and it was revealed that Toadie was now in a relationship with Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and they tied the knot in the debut episode of the new chapter in a storyline fans didn’t see coming.

Toadie is just one of the familiar faces still living on Ramsay Street and actor Ryan says he’d love to see some more old friends return as well as some new ones. The soap icon told Daily Star and other press: “I would like to see more new faces I think and create some new characters than people will love. Having said that I’d love to see Connor come back and Lance. Those two people. Maybe we need to extend the street or just knock some houses down and build some high-risers.”
After Neighbours got axed, Ryan trained in civil construction and is currently building a farm as well as working back on the soap. The father of two admitted that he had to think about returning when TV bosses told him about the reboot. He said: “I had to have a little think about it bit you have to answer straight away when the producers are standing right in front of you. There’s people who sold their houses and moved away and that kind of stuff so their lives have changed quite a lot.
“The wrapping up of Neighbours after 37 years was historic but the bringing back of Neighbours is probably more so historic and when we did the UK Celebration Tour it became so clearly evident during our meet and greets that it was just way more important for the fans. It means more than just us getting our jobs back. I’m so happy it’s back for those guys.
It comes as Ring Video Doorbells launch new Quick Replies voiced by Ryan, in partnership with Amazon Freevee, to celebrate Neighbours returning to screens for the new chapter.
