Jacqueline returned to the show last year for Dot Cotton’s (June Brown) funeral and more recently appeared in a special episode which confirmed that Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is still alive.

The mother of two later confirmed that her latest performance as Lauren was a one-off but won’t rule out another comeback in the future.

Speaking on the Soap From The Box podcast with Lee Salisbury recently, Jacquline said: “I would one hundred per cent go back.

“The thing for me is there’s certain rules that with things that I’m doing now, you can’t do both.

“If there was a world that existed where I could do everything i’d one hundred per cent put the leather jacket and boots back on and get going because its the best job in the world.”

“It was the best day of my life when I went to see the Vic for the first time,” she explained.

“Jake Wood took me around and I was so buzzing to meet him.

“I was a huge fan of EastEnders in general and I loved the Brannings, I loved Bradley.
