Jennifer Lawrence has one major fear when it comes to sex, as she said “d**k is dangerous”.
The Hunger Games alum said she doesn’t really do casual sex for a specific reason – and told radio host Howard Stern that she’s only ever really slept with boyfriends. Jennifer is now married to art gallery director Cooke Maroney, tying the knot in 2019. The pair welcomed their son Cy in February 2022.
During promo for her 2018 movie Red Sparrow, Jennifer got candid about her bedroom antics, and what she does and doesn’t like. She said: “I always talk like I want d**k, but the truth is when I look back at my sexual past it was always with boyfriends. I talk like I like it, but I don’t really do it.

“I am mostly also a germaphobe. I have made it this far without an STI. D**k is dangerous. If I was at the point where I could get an STI, doctors have already been involved. That is how much of a germaphobe I am.”
She added: “I am all bark and no bite,” and said in 2018 that she hadn’t had sex in “a very long time”. She said: “I am making it clear that I have not had sex in a very long time. I would like to have a relationship, you know. It is hard out there.”
Thankfully she quickly settled down with her now husband Cooke, tying the knot in a sweet Rhode Island ceremony. But when it comes to Hollywood sex scenes, she’s still not super keen.
Jennifer felt “so guilty” filming her raunchy on-screen romp for 2016 flick Passengers, and had to get “really drunk” to prepare for simulated sex with Chris Pratt. She said she got “really, really drunk” before filming the intimate scene, so much so that she forgot exactly what happened during the process.
Jennifer explained: “That led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know’. It was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach.
“And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that. So I called my mom, and I was like, ‘Will you just tell me it’s OK?’ It was just very vulnerable. And you don’t know what’s too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but then… That was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.”

She says on-screen sex is “the most unsexy thing in the world”, while Chris also turned to drink to deal with the romp. He told The Telegraph: “I don’t know if it was like that [being drunk]. But look, actors aren’t like pilots, operating equipment – and sometimes doing love scenes can be awkward.
“I’ve done a simulated sex scene before, so it was less weird for me, but for Jen it was the first time she’d ever done anything like that. So [director] Morton [Tyldum] said: ‘Do you want to have a glass of wine?’ Because just like in real life it takes the edge off a bit. And I imbibed as well. And, well, if that’s what it takes to get comfortable, why not?”
