Khloe Kardashian has left fans confused after sharing a tribute to Matthew Perry following his tragic death aged 54.
On Saturday (October 28), it was announced the Friends legend had passed away after “drowning in his hot tub” at his Pacific Palisades home. Tributes have been pouring in for the late actor, who was loved by millions thanks to his portrayal of Chandler Bing in the iconic US sitcom.
Khloe is the latest celebrity to honour Perry and took to social media to share her heartbreak over the sad news. The Kardashians star, 39, simply penned: “Rest in peace. Heartbroken. Unbelievable.”

The TV personality’s lack of context panicked fans as they rushed to comment asking what she was referring to. One person shared: “What happened Khloe?? Everything alright?” as another user questioned: “Who died?”
A third asked: “Who is it?” as another wrote: “Who?” Others were quick to assume that Khloe was referring to Perry as one wrote: “No context… Just assuming you mean Matthew Perry.”
A second agreed: “If y’all are confused the actor from ‘friends’ Matthew Perry was found dead in his L.A home on Saturday October 28, 2023 due to drowning while in his hot tub.” A number of Perry’s Friends co-stars have shared poignant tributes online, including his on-screen mother Morgan Fairchild.
The Nora Big actress wrote: “I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my ‘son’, Matthew Perry. The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock.” Paget Brewster, who played Chandler’s girlfriend Kathy during the fourth season of Friends, penned: “He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there.”
Selma Blair and Maggie Wheeler have also shared messages, while the other five main Friends stars, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer are yet to respond publicly to the news.
Perry was found in his hot tub by emergency services at his home after they responded to a call at 4.07pm about a suspected cardiac arrest. Law enforcement said no drugs were discovered at the scene and there is no indication of foul play.
However, it was recently revealed that a number of prescription drugs were found in his home after his death. TMZ were told that the actor was on anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and a COPD drug.
