Lizzie Cundy revealed she would be more than up for taking part in middle-aged Love Island if her new romance doesn’t work out.
Earlier this year, ITV confirmed a Love Island spin-off was in the works, specifically for middle-aged singletons and now, the 54-year-old British socialite admitted it could be on the horizon for her.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at the Together for Short Lives Ball on Friday (March 3), the ex-wife of Jason Cundy said: “I did the original one with Shirley Valentine, we went to Greece to find a man.”

She continued: “I did well in that show and I think I’d do well in it again, I’d be very up for it.”
The star teased there may be a special someone in her life at the moment however, meaning she would have to see how that plays out before joining the dating show.
“I might have someone on the horizon but if it doesn’t work out then I’ll do the show,” the TV personality added.
The upcoming dating series will be named The Romance Retreat and will air on ITV’s main channel.
Former Big Brother host Davina McCall is already eyeing up a presenting gig on the show as she admitted earlier this year that she was “begging” bosses to let her host.
Speaking on The Diary Of A CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett, Davina said: “I’m literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life Love Island. I could fill a villa in Love Island with middle age people with the best back stories you have ever heard in your life.
“I’d watch that show,” she whispered, adding: “And I was like, ‘I need to present it, please!”
Lizzie also spoke to Daily Star about the return of Big Brother and begged them to bring back the celebrity version.
“I’m so excited about it I need them to do the celebrity version. I’d possibly be up for it,” she explained.
Lizzie added: “There was a time they were wanting my ex-husband and me to go in as a couple but that was many moons ago. I think some people get me wrong and judge me wrong because I speak my mind but I’m a lot of fun.”
