Love Island fans fume over challenge as Will Young brands co-star 'cop out'

Love Island’s Will Young was fuming when he branded Kai Fagan a “cop out” for not choosing to pie Olivia Hawkins during the Snog Marry Pie challenge.

The Islanders partook in the iconic challenge on Monday night (February 27), which involves the sexy singletons pieing one person, kissing another and opting to marry a third.

After the beef that Olivia and Kai have endured since she returned to the main villa from Casa Amor a couple of weeks ago, everyone expected Kai to pie Olivia.

So when he didn’t pie Liv and opted for Tanya, it was a given that people inside the villa – and outside – were rather annoyed.

Kai pied Tanya, but fans thought he should have pied Liv

When the boys clocked that Kai wasn’t going to pie Olivia, Will said that if he didn’t choose to pie her it would be a “cop out”.

And fans watching at home were in agreement when he pied Tanya and let Liv walk away without cream on her face.

“Kai is p*ssing me off copping out all the time he should of smacked the sh*t out of Olivia with that pie,” wrote one.

Olivia expected Kai to pie her

Another echoed: “I don’t know why Kai didn’t pie Olivia.”

While a third penned: “KAI DIDN’T PIE OLIVIA ?? smh [shaking my head] they’re all so weak.”

Other fans however, thought he was in the right for not pieing her, with one saying: “We all know the reason Kai didn’t pie Olivia was because if he did she’d spend the next few days crying over it, and he couldn’t be arsed for that.”

Liv opted to pie Kai despite him not pieing her

“Kai has really grown on me because the guys so mature he didn’t even pick to pie Olivia in the face. A man. I don’t even mind if he wins now because Sanam is a babe,” added a second.

With a third writing: “Tbh I’m glad Kai didn’t pie Olivia. She was waiting for it, it humbled her that he didn’t because he literally DOES NOT CARE!”

It was then Olivia’s turn to pie somebody, and of course she chose to pie Kai – which came as no surprise to anyone.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Unseen Bits on Saturdays and Aftersun at 10pm on Sundays.
