Love Island fans fume they ‘didn’t vote’ as new challenge divides islanders

Fans of Love Island have been left baffled after a new award ceremony was introduced on the show.

During Tuesday night’s episode (July 25), viewers got to witness the first-ever Grafties.

Similar to the infamous Movie Night, The Grafties allowed viewers to nominate certain islanders for an award after seeing a number of clips.

But many viewers were left confused as they were unaware of when they were allowed to make their votes.

They also appeared to be unaware of which platform viewers were allowed to vote on.

Heading straight to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts on the new show segment.

Fans were confused about when to vote for The Grafties

One spectator wrote: “Okay but which public voted for the grafties pls?”

Another penned: “I didn’t vote for these grafties, I don’t even know the categories but you lot are terrible with a vote so let’s see what horrendous decisions you made this time.”

A third said: “Still don’t know wtf the grafties is & when the hell did we vote for this???”

While a fourth added: “Ngl when tf did we get to vote for these Grafties? Sounds like a setup to me…!”

Love Island viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts

The nominations for The Grafties were announced last week and viewers were allowed to vote on the official Love Island Instagram page.

The Grafties caused an avalanche of drama on Tuesday night’s show as the islanders watched a number of clips from categories such as the flirtiest performance, most snakey sitch and best head-to-head.

But once the islanders saw certain clips of themselves on screen, it caused a number of issues which led to a number of awkward conversations.

However many viewers appeared to enjoy the fireworks and compared the new segment to Movie Night.

Another shared: “The grafties is messier than movie night AND LESS THAN A WEEK BEFORE THE FINAL.”

“The Grafties is better than movie night, this is soooo tense and awks,” a third echoed.
