Love Island viewers divided over Whitney and Lochan’s dumping decision

Love Island viewers admitted they were flabbergasted at Whitney’s decision to save Mitch and Ella – but applauded her for playing a good game.

Whitney and Lochan found themselves with all the power after winning the public vote for favourite couple and were tasked with picking who would be dumped.

They sent shockwaves through the villa when they decided to ditch Kady and Ouzy and keep Mitch and Ella, with Tyrique heard saying that the pair made the wrong decision, in full earshot of Mitch.

Several said they thought Whitney was being “tactical”.

“What does Whitney mean when she says she likes honest and truth,” one tweeted.

“How does that relate to her decision. Her only argument is that Mitch is a strong character. What isn’t she saying?”

“Does anyone think Whitney and Lochan choosing Kady and Ouzy to go was tactical as they know Kady has loads of fans/followers?” asked another.

“If it was, bravo Whit love the savage-ness.”

“Whitney and whatever her guy’s name is was VERY tactical and I’ll stand by that,” said someone else.

“She knows the game, she’s playing it so clever,” said another viewer.

“I was all for Whitney winning but she annoyed me during this episode so now I don’t care,” said one viewer.

“I think she’s playing a game now lol.”

However, others were annoyed, saying it wasn’t the best move.

Mitch and Ella B have stayed in the villa while Kady, Ouzy, Josh and Amber headed home following the results of a public vote.

Some of their fellow islanders shared their frustration at the decision, with Tyrique and Abi both questioning the decision.

It caused a row amongst their co-stars, with Abi and Ella B having their say while tensions continued to skyrocket through the villa.

But as feuds between the islanders continue, the countdown is on to the final…

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
