Love Island fans already have their suspicions about Ella Thomas after she showcased a major “red flag”.
The tenth series of the hit ITV2 dating show returned on Monday (June 5), bringing a new selection of sexy singletons looking for love.
As the islanders were getting to know each other, Ella, 23, sat down for a chat with Mehdi Edno.
Discussing their types, the Glaswegian model told the 26-year-old: “Your voice sounds kind of like my ex’s.”
Mehdi then asked if she was happy being coupled up with Tyrique Hyde, to which she responded: “He’s physically my type. Physically he looks like my ex.”
“He looks like my ex and you sound like him,” she laughed.
After watching the conversation, fans took to social media to question Ella’s intentions after she noting she repeatedly mentioned her former flaame.
One viewer exclaimed: “Red flag number 1: talking about your ex!! If EVER a girl you’re getting to know mentions her ex then run for the hills bruv!! I told you, Ella is gonna be a problem!!”
“Send Ella home already she’s mentioned her ex twice she clearly isn’t over him,” added a second fan as another shared: “Maybe they should bring Ella’s ex to the villa since she miss him so much idk”.
A fourth viewer chimed in: “Ella is being bad vibes already omg, “he looks like my ex” “you sound like my ex” “that kiss was so dead” go home back to your ex then!!!!!!!!! #LoveIsland.”
Things got off to an awkward start for Ella when she confessed she had already met Tyrique – but he had no idea.

“Do you remember we’ve met before?” the 23-year-old asked him, explaining that it had been in London “not even that long ago”.
In the toe-curling moment, Tyrique seemed completely clueless as he told her: “We’ll talk in a bit.”
As the day went on, the confusion was cleared up as Tyrique insisted Ella’s change in hairstyle was the reason he didn’t remember her.
