Love Island’s Ella Thomas eyes up Strictly stint following Zara McDermott’s success

Love Island finalist Ella Thomas has revealed she’s up for taking part on Strictly Come Dancing following Zara McDermott’s impressive ballroom success.

The documentary maker’s made history as the first person who rose to fame on Love Island to star on Strictly this year, after her 2018 stint on the reality dating show saw her leave the villa with her then-boyfriend Adam Collard. She is now partnered up with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima as they battle it out to lift the glitterball trophy.

Over the past few weeks, fans have been blown away by her jaw-dropping routines with the Italian hunk. The dancing duo have gone from strength to strength on the BBC One ballroom competition, after initially struggling in the first week when the pair found themselves in the dreaded dance-off.

Since then, the Italian dancer has pushed TV personality to her limits which has seen them claw their way back up the leaderboard. This week the pair are sure to have the audience on their feet as they will be dancing to the hit 2000 song Can’t Fight The Moonlight by LeAnn Rimes.

After seeing the blonde bombshell blow over the judges, the Love Island star has admitted that she would love to be the next Islander take to the dancefloor. Speaking exclusively to Daily Star following the launch of her debut fashion line with PrettyLittleThing, the 23-year-old has warned fans to watch this space.

When asked if she would go on any other reality shows, the auburn beauty confessed: “Yeah definitely. I’d love to do more TV and something like Strictly is a show that I would love to go on. I love the little outfits and I can see me rocking that.

“I love dancing as well and seeing Zara McDermott on it is amazing. She’s the first person that came from Love Island and went on Strictly, it’s just amazing. She’s definitely broken the mould now so I could be the next one on the show next year,” Ella teased.

As opportunities continue to pour in, the TV star went on reveal that presenting is a huge dream of her and would love to present more programmes in the future. She went on: “That’s something I’d love to do. Presenting is a big dream of mine and presenting a show like Love Island would be amazing.

“You know Maya Jama is killing it, I definitely look up to her in terms of presenting so following in her footsteps would be amazing. She’s a blueprint to follow for sure!” It’s no wonder that Ella is keen to take part on the BBC One dance competition, with the show just as famous for its glamorous wardrobe as it is for its impressive dance routines.

During her time in the villa, the model quickly became known for her impeccable style, with the star bagging a deal with PrettyLittleThing as their brand ambassador just weeks after she returned to the UK.
