Samie Elishi has spoke out about a further health battle following her frightful cancer scare earlier this year.
The winter Love Island star, who is just 23, appeared to be tearful as she delivered news of a recent illness to adoring fans who had initially highlighted a dubious lump on her neck in April of this year.
Following another trip to hospital, the TV personality has confirmed that her thyroid surgery will be put on hold to give her body time to fight off a current “infection”.

After leaving the famous ITV dating show, eagle-eyed fans aired their worries as they requested for the bombshell to have her neck looked at by specialists.
Following a consultation with medics, Samie confirmed that doctors had discovered a 5cm lump on her thyroid as she thanked her loyal legion for flagging the issue to her in the first place.

With the thyroid surgery pending, Samie updated YouTube subscribers that she was going to have to put the operation on the back-burner due to her falling ill on a recent getaway which led to a hospital dash.
Opening up about the ordeal, she said: “I didn’t realise how bad tonsillitis could be but I was on an IV drip on the cruise to try and get food and water in me because I couldn’t eat or drink.
“Then as soon as I landed I was meant to go to the Beyoncé concert with PrettyLittleThing which I’m absolutely gutted I couldn’t make but I had to land and go straight to the hospital.”

She added: “Me and my mum went straight to the hospital and got checked out because the antibiotics I got given on the cruise were wearing off so I had to be admitted into hospital here. So I was there almost over night and basically I didn’t know this but you can’t have surgery if you have an infection.
“My surgery was meant to be a couple of days later after the cruise so it got postponed. Now it will be at the end of this month so it is quite soon now.”

Samie went on to thank those who had been in touch and had shared their own stories with her – having been through similar procedures.
The reality star explained: “I’ve had such amazing messages as well saying how helpful it has been me sharing my journey. People have found lumps in their throat and went to get it checked out.
“People have been sending me photos of the scarring which has healed because that’s what I was worried about but I’m not anymore, I just want it over and done with. So yeah surgery is still going ahead it just got postponed.”
At the moment it is still unknown if Samie’s lump on her neck is cancerous or not, however doctors have diagnosed the growth as a “grade three” until more is apparent, updated the star in another YouTube video.
In order to help others, Samie plans to share her journey to good health with fans as she believes it is “so important we all know about these things”.
