Love Island’s Zara and Cynthia ‘saved a man’s life’ as people ‘ignored him’ in street

Love Island’s Zara Lackenby-Brown and Cynthia Taiwo said they think they’ve saved a man’s life in London.

The pair went on Instagram live after the experience to encourage their followers to always try to help someone if it looks like they might be in trouble.

As they shared their experience after walking the streets of London in the middle of the night, the girls explained that a man, who was dressed in a full suit and had a rucksack on, was passed out on the floor.

They explained that they saw him passed out and started “choking on his sick” and so they decided to intervene.

Zara started the video and said: “I feel like we just saved a life. So me and Cynthia were on Camden High Street and there was a man in a suit passed out.

“I didn’t even notice him at first but Cynthia clocked him and said, ‘No Zara there’s something not right there’.”

She added: “We double took, everyone walked past everyone was ignoring him. He starts throwing up and choking on his own sick and I was like no I need to call an ambulance.

“But it was like no one cared? It was really weird.”

Cynthia added: “40 minutes to an hour the ambulance was going to take to get here. Listen the way I turned around and an ambulance was coming.”

Zara laughed and said: “Cynthia jumped in the middle of the road and was like you are helping right now.”

The pair explained that the ambulance service told told them that they had done the right thing.

After explaining what had happened, Zara and Cynthia encouraged people to help if they see somebody in distress as they said they “could have seen him on the news” the next day.

They ended the video by saying: “That man is now being seen to and getting medical assistance but he could have easily choked on his sick and died.”

The pair were hit with praise for helping and encouraging others to help those in need.
