Madonna looked almost unrecognisable in unearthed pictures of her as a 21-year-old dance student in New York City.
The Queen of Pop just celebrated her 65th birthday and has left fans divided over her appearance and racy outfits in recent years.
But before she was famous, the Like A Virgin singer was a young and upcoming dancer with a totally different style.

In her official biography, it’s said Madonna attended Martha Graham School for dance classes, but even then she decided to bend the rules.
The book read: “The students had to wear uniforms. Madonna, who never met a rule she didn’t want to break, began showing up to class with holes in her stockings and her hair in cornrows.”
The hitmaker recently partied it up with pals on her 65th birthday, where she cut a very glamorous appearance.
