MAFS UK 2023 groom has secret Maya Jama link after holiday fling gave her number

Married at First Sight UK groom Luke Worley previously went viral after a holiday romance gave him a wrong number, which turned out to be Maya Jama’s.

The E4 relationship experiment is making an epic return later this month with 16 contestants tying the knot with compete strangers.

One of the stars of the new series Luke has previously appeared on The Language of Love, hosted by Davina McCall.

He also became an online sensation in 2021 after an attempt at romance took a bizarre turn.

Luke’s posted about his chance encounter with Love Island presenter Maya had social media users in stitches.

The Sales Executive from Clacton shared his dating disaster online as he explained that he had met a girl called Sarah whilst on holiday in Kos and he got her number.

However, when he FaceTimed the number Sarah had given him, TV personality Maya answered the phone.

After his wild chat with the stunning star, Luke shared a screenshot of their video call on X, formerly known as Twitter, and revealed what had happened to his followers.

He wrote at the time: “So I got chatting to some girl called Sarah on holiday in Kos and she gave me her number…

“The next day I tried calling her and she gave me the wrong number. Turned out the random number she gave me was @MayaJama Actually mental” followed by a string of crying with laughter emojis.

Maya, 29, confirmed Luke’s tale was in fact true as she responded to the post with: “Looool the most random phone call ever”.

Months on from the hilarious ordeal, Luke starred on Language Of Love and is now trying his luck in MAFS.

Speaking ahead of his debut, Luke explained that in his town he’s known as the “funny one” and can always be counted on to make a joke.

But this social butterfly is unable to crack is finding a wife, and after growing tired of dating apps, he’s hoping that maybe the MAFS experts can find his perfect match.
