Stormzy’s mother reportedly played a role in helping him rekindle his romance with former flame Maya Jama.
The 30-year-old British rapper hit headlines this week after fans speculated that the pair – who split in 2019 – could be officially back together again.
And it’s said Stormzy’s mother Abigail Owuo encouraged her son to make amends with the Love Island host, who has just wrapped the latest series of the ITV dating show.

“The whole f***ing palaver that surrounded that situation. I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate love, and care for his woman,” he added.
Last week reports alleged Maya flew on a private plane to watch Stormzy as he headlined a gig in East London.
Then Stormzy allegedly whisked Maya away for a £2,280-a-night sun-soaked Greek holiday.
The pair were then spotted looking cosy together at their villa in Peloponnese, which included a personal chef and butler, a pool with a terrace, and speedboats.
Maya, 29, has been fairly private when it comes to her love life, and rarely comments on rumours of who she is dating.
Despite this, ahead of her presenting debut on Love Island earlier this year she did say that it was “nice” to be “really single” again.
Last year September it was revealed that Maya had split from fiance Ben Simmons due to a “difficult time” over their conflicting schedules.
The New York Post later claimed the pair, who were engaged for eight months, realised they were from “two different worlds”.
