The Duchess of Sussex appeared to keep things low-key for her 42nd birthday this year as she headed to see the Barbie movie with pal Portia De Rossi and other close friends.
According to Page Six, Meghan Markle and her pals watched the Margot Robbie-led flick at a Santa Barbara theater on Monday (August 1) while Prince Harry remained home.
Later on, Meghan, whose actual birthday was on Friday (August 4), kept the festivities going by joining her pals at the luxury San Ysidro Ranch hotel in Santa Barbara.

According to reports, the royal posed for photos and made videos with a bachelorette party that was celebrating at the hotel at the time.
And it seems she even gave them some advice as and alleged witness at the venue told Page Six: “Meghan went over to wish the bride good luck.”
Although Harry was nowhere to be seen at the time, the couple were spotted grabbing dinner at celebrity hot spot Tre Lune in Montecito on Wednesday (August 2).
Meghan wore a $240 black and white strapless maxi dress during her dinner celebration, while Harry sported a pale blue button-up top and white trousers.

The restaurant, which has become popular among celebrities, has a wide menu with delicious food which includes steak on a bed of arugula costing diners $65 (£51), or a pan-fried veal chop which costs $61 (£48).
According to the website, the restaurant states they pair their food with “a thoughtful wine list and classic cocktails”.
The royal pair enjoyed their night alongside Meghan’s close friends Heather Dorak and her husband Matt Cohen.
Meghan and Harry were later snapped leaving the Italian eatery, as they appeared to be all smiles.
According to reports, Meghan decided to stay indoors for her actual birthday with Harry and their two children.
Meghan’s birthday celebration comes just days after she and Harry put on a united front amid false rumours their marriage had hit rock bottom.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, appeared together in a video as they contacted young innovators to congratulate them on being awarded a share of a multimillion-dollar prize from the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund.
