Natalie Portman ditches bra under plunging blazer in most daring display yet

Natalie Portman brought the glam to the photocall for her new movie, May December, as she went braless under a plunging tuxedo jacket.

The Black Swan actress dazzled fans alongside her Sky Movies co-star Julianne Moore on the red carpet, with Natalie ensuring all eyes were on her as she ditched her bra under a velvet blazer, done up with two gold buttons. The neckline plunged almost all the way to her navel, with two silk lapels setting off the tuxedo-style jacket.

A pair of velvet trousers and matching boots finished off her ensemble, while Natalie secured her dark hair back in a tight bun and painted her nails black to match. For make-up, the star opted for maximum glam, swiping on a dark pink pout and lining her eyes with dark kohl.

Meanwhile, Julianne Moore wowed in an oversized leather jacket with square shoulders, worn over a floor-length black gown that left nothing but her bare toes visible in a pair of strappy sandals. She let her fiery red hair hang loose around her shoulders, adding a pair of chunky gold earrings for an added bit of sparkle on the red carpet.

Their new film follows a married couple whose romance gripped the tabloids 20 years ago. Soon their love story is ready to buckle under the pressure when an actress arrives to research them to make a film about their past.

Natalie, who plays actress Elizabeth in the flick, teased an “interesting and surprising” plot, telling Vogue that the chance to work with Julianne was one of a lifetime. She gushed: “She’s one of my favourite actresses and her collaborations with [director Todd Haynes] – Safe, Far from Heaven – have been among my favourite performances from her so to not only get to work with her, but to get to work with them together was just the gift of a lifetime.”

She added of the film, which is streaming on Netflix : “It gets you thinking about how you might influence something – it’s a question a documentarian or journalist might also ask – and how you affect a story by your portrayal of it. And it’s also about whether or not art can be amoral.”

It comes after the confession that Natalie will “never show her boobs” on screen. Speaking on the Drew Barrymore Show this week, Natalie was asked: “One thing you’d never do for a role?” as she replied: “Um… show my boobs? Is that really prude?”

She added: “I’m just always like, ‘I don’t want my kids to see pictures online’.” She is mum to son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, six – and Drew, who also has two children, quickly assured her that it’s “not prudish”.

Drew then went on to defend her topless Playboy shoot from 1995, explaining: “I didn’t know there’d be an online when I did it. I was like, ‘Good luck finding that magazine under some weird guy’s bed in some random house!’” She jokingly assured the audience that there’s “no judgement, darlings”.
