Oasis manager Alan McGee has slammed rape allegations made against him following a police investigation into two claims of rape.
McGee, the co-founder of independent label Creation Records, denied the allegations calling them “unfounded and hurtful.”
The London Metropolitan Police confirmed to the Mirror they had received a report of two alleged rape incidents of a woman by a man, which had prompted their inquiries.

The two incidents both allegedly happened in London, with one reportedly taking place in Southwark, South London and the other in Kensington and Chelsea, West London.
The reported allegations have prompted Alan to respond publicly, in which he has announced he’ll be launching his own legal action.
In a statement, Alan, 62, said via his representative: “A number of allegations have been made against me, which are unfounded, hurtful, and completely untrue.
“These false allegations have crossed the line into serious defamation and I have been left with no option but to commence legal proceedings against the individual making them.
I will not be making any further comment at this stage.”
Alan is known in the public eye due to his connections to Oasis who he discovered at a gig in Glasgow after co-founding an independent label called Creation Records.
He signed the band in 1993 and a year later Oasis released their hit debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’, which began cementing the group among the UK’s top bands.
Speaking recently at ‘An Evening with Alan McGee at Barras Art and Design, Alan recalled the experience signing Oasis at King Tut’s in Glasgow.
“I went up and they were playing Rock ‘N’ Roll Star, another song, and then Up in the Sky, at that point I said to my sister; I’m signing them.”
In 1995, he was awarded NME’s Godlike Genius award for services to music.
The police investigation into the rape allegations is currently ongoing.
Daily Star has contacted McGee’s representative for comment.
