Peter Crouch to dress up like 'gladiator' to spice up sex life with Abbey Clancy

Peter Crouch has promised to dress up like Rodney Trotter as a gladiator to spice up his sex life with wife Abbey Clancy.

The ex-England footballer, 41, made the pledge after Abbey, 37, revealed she has a thing for vikings – which had made him “jealous”.

Crouchy said if he tried to look like one, he would end up resembling Only Fools and Horses character Rodney – played by Nicholas Lyndhurst – instead.

Speaking on their podcast The Therapy Crouch, he said: “You started going to me like, ‘why don’t you just be more like a viking?’

“And I was going, what you f***ing talking about? If I dress up like a viking.

“Have you seen Only Fools and Horses, have you seen when Rodney dressed up as the gladiator?

“That will be me in the bedroom, Rodney and Cassandra.”

Model Abbey replied: “You should do that actually.”

The former Spurs player said: “I will.”

In the classic episode If They Could See Us Now, Rodney dresses as a Roman gladiator to try and look like Russell Crowe for his wife Cassandra in the bedroom.

Abbey said it would be part of their next episode – “how to spice up your love life”.

She went on to say her fixation started while watching TV show Vikings, as the characters are “just cool”, with the girls also “as hard as nails but hot as anything”.

Her hubby replied: “It sounds like a porno.”

The former footballer previously revealed he was nicknamed after Rodney as a kid, with QPR fans coming out with their song to the show’s theme tune years later.

As Abbey shared the clip to her Instagram, she cheekily wrote: “Anyone else into vikings??”, before explaining that her podcast is out on Tuesday and told her fans she “hopes you all enjoy it”.

Her followers rushed to laugh at the cheeky quip with an influx of laughing emojis, while one person wrote: “Even this clip has me in stitches. Will defo be tuning in!”

While another added: “Spot on!!! Viking men is a thing.”

The full episode will be out on Tuesday, January 17.
