Prince Harry's team are 'irresponsible' as duke becomes 'harder to trust', claims expert

A PR expert has taken a dig at Prince Harry’s public relations team and said they’ve been irresponsible with handling his portrayal.

The 38-year-old recently released his highly anticipated autobiography, Spare and has divulged shocking revelations regarding his life and the Royal family in a number of television interviews before the book’s release.

But PR expert, Carla Speight believes Harry could lose his family for good and bruise his reputation if his team are unable to “see the bigger picture”.

Talking exclusively to Daily Star, she said: “Harry’s PR Team instead of being strategic and cautious, are handling the communication channels quite irresponsibly.

“Harry’s being allowed and encouraged to talk about stuff that we’ve never heard before. It just highlights the American-style press and the American-style approach to PR as opposed to the British approach.”

Carla who works with a range of clients on managing their careers said Prince Harry may be hard to trust going forward.

She continued: “It feels like nobody on their PR team is able to see the bigger picture and this will result in him not only losing his family permanently but he’s also going to damage his reputation forever because if you think about it he’s almost like a whistle-blower on the royal family which is huge.

“So no brands, tv production channels or anybody in the industry is going to be able to trust him moving forward in case he writes a book about it or you know does a splash in the news over it and I think that’s completely irresponsible.”

Despite the Harry has received for revealing his “truth” Harry’s autobiography Spare has become the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever, with 400,000 copies being sold so far across hardback, ebook and audio formats on its first day of publication.

Larry Finlay who is the managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House said: “We always knew this book would fly but it is exceeding even our most bullish expectations.

“As far as we know, the only books to have sold more in their first day are those starring the other Harry (Potter), the director explained.

Although the book has a retail price of £28, many shops, including Waterstones and WH Smith are selling the book at half price.
