The Disney star took to Instagram writing on her story “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity
“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
The Love You Like A Love Song songstress also followed Hailey as a sign of support.
The alleged feud leads back to 2018 when Justin proposed to Hailey just two months after permanently splitting from his on-off girlfriend at the time, Selena.
Footage of Hailey mocking Selena’s celebrity pal Taylor Swift resurfaced on TikTok, with Selena commenting on one video: “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”
It led to fans of Selena labeling Hailey a “mean girl”, amid claims Justin was slated for being “petty” about his ex-girlfriend while celebrating his 29th birthday.
The singer hosted a birthday party recently and handed out gifts of lighters with the words: “I’m so thankful that I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.”
Following the speculation, Selena took to social media to say her “heart has been heavy”, adding: “Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health.”
It comes after Selena has seemingly confirmed she’s single in a new TikTok.
In the video, she lip-syncs to the audio: “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.
She added in the caption: “Still out here lookin for him lol.”
