Former Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara has issued a career update ahead of welcoming her first child with husband Aljaž Škorjanec.

The dancing couple are set to become parents later this year but it appears they can’t wait to get back on the dancefloor.

One fan penned: ” Would you not want to enjoy that wee baby?”

Another added: ““9 months to grow a baby and 9 months to recover. I’d have given myself the year off to focus on the baby and enjoy the first year of everything. I’ve had two and the first few months are exhausting.”

A third person posted: “Wow good luck. All I can say is I hope that baby sleeps for you.”

Janette and Aljaž announced they were exciting their first child in February.

The couple, who got married in 2017, had been planning on starting IVF treatment after struggling to conceive naturally.

Janette said at the time that she was “overwhelmed with emotion” at the 12-week scan when the doctor joked the baby is “already dancing”.

Janette said: “We thought IVF was the next best thing for us to do.

“I turn 40 later this year and the NHS offers really good services to women under 40.”

The duo had been scheduled to start treatment as soon as Janette started her period, but it never ended up coming.

Janette said: “I know that IVF can be really strenuous on a woman’s body and there is no guarantee it will work, so to know that this little miracle just came from a wonderful night we had together is amazing.”
