Strictly’s Nikita Kanda shuts down fans over partner probe ahead of BBC show debut

Strictly Come Dancing contender Nikita Kanda has taken to social media to inform her fans that she won’t be spilling the beans on who her dance partner will be for the upcoming series.

Nikita, the ninth celebrity revealed this year, shared a video on her Instagram, playfully captioning it with: “When people won’t stop asking who your dance partner is.”

In a humorous response to curious fans, Nikita mimed to an audio snippet, saying: “Don’t ask. No. Is there a chance? Girl.”

Two more of her followers seemed to agree, commenting: “If we don’t get Nikita and Nikita,” and “It’s gotta be nikita omg.”

Yet, not everyone shared the same sentiment: “I hope its Giovanni!” exclaimed one.

Another fan blasted the video altogether, accusing her message of being “not very nice,” as fans eagerly await the news.

Renowned as the current host of the BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast show and a familiar face on The One Show, Nikita has also earned a nomination for Presenter of the Year at the Asian Media Awards.
